As a Software Engineer, a former Professional Photographer and University Professor, I apply my attention to detail and communication skills to developing software. I am passionate about the challenges coding brings and thrive on the pursuit of continual learning.

What I do

Here's some of the stuff I do.

For a profession or for fun I enjoy putting my heart into the things that are challenging.

Full Stack Developer

I use Ruby on Rails, Golang, JavaScript, Vue.js, HTML and CSS.

Photographer

I am a fine art photographer interested in identity.

Soccer

You can find me at the fire pitch playing on a coed team.

Here’s some work I made recently.

Wami is my capstone project that I maded while attending a coding bootcamp, it is a full stack project using Ruby on Rails and Vue.js. I've also included a few smaller projects that explore vanilla JavaScript, Rails, and API's. In addition to this, I have included a photographic portfolio of work made in graduate school.

WAMI (when am i)

A scheduling app for on campus jobs. Where students can sign up for requested shifts and supervisors can schedule students for those shifts.

Framework Watcher

Utilizing Chart.js and Github's API's for popular frontend frameworks, this project uses vanilla JavaScript to keep track of forks, stars, watchers and overall popularity of the top 5 frontend frameworks.

State Data

This Rails backend API, uses CSV files to seed a database and a vanilla JavaScript frontend with DataMaps library in order to return data from all 50 states specific to median household income(2016), unemployed population(2016), population living in metro areas(2015) and adults 25 and older with high-school degrees(2019).

Living Regular

A photographic portfolio documenting families in the Cabrini Green Housing Projects in final years prior to all the buildings being torn down.
